What is Desecration?

Desecration is a 3D horror game being developed in Unreal Engine 5 that follows Gareth Zeal, a broken man, trying to save his brother Gawain who has merged with a sentient, eldritch entity. The sins of his past haunt him, making him question how far he would go to save his brother, who might not be the brother he once knew and cared for. This game will be released on Steam in 2025.


Gareth Zeal is a broken man. After over a decade of no contact with his estranged brother Gawain, he suddenly receives a voicemail asking for help.

“Heard you were asking around town about me. I’m alive. Living in the rum tunnels at Grandfather’s old property. Camped out in the speakeasy. Had to board off the church, been hearing…things. I need your help brother…please. For once.”

However upon Gareth’s arrival, he finds that his brother has merged with a horrific rot entity that feeds on memories. It’s spreading through the ground, and Gawain is the origin point.

Hungry and losing his strength, Gawain begs Gareth to feed him the only food that the rot allows him – corpses.
